The 2018 Winter Olympics shone a spotlight on many aspects of life in South Korea, including its fascinating language. The organisers recruited some 2,100 volunteers to help with Korean translation and interpretation during the Winter Olympic Games. However, professional athletes and their supporters are far from the only ones who require professional Korean translation services.
A recent Tomedes client was looking to pursue an opportunity to sell his company’s products in South Korea. As such, he sought out a professional business translation service in order to assist him in doing so. Enter Tomedes!
We discussed the client’s needs in detail and agreed to assign two Korean translators to his project – one to undertake his marketing document translation and the other to deal with his legal paperwork translation. As well as providing two specialisms, this arrangement also meant that the work could be completed twice as fast, as the translations could be undertaken simultaneously, rather than concurrently. This fitted perfectly with the client’s timescale.
The two translators liaised throughout the project to ensure consistency and compliance with the client’s house style. He was impressed with the end result – flawless Korean translations produced in a timely fashion. He quickly put the documents to good use and even assigned a further translation project to Tomedes before his next trip to Seoul, asking us to furnish him with Korean translations of his business cards. We were, of course, delighted to assist.
Whatever the nature of your translation or the language pairing you need, Tomedes is here to help. We have a network of more than 5,000 translators around the globe, putting their linguistic talents at the disposal of business translation and personal translation clients on every continent.
