One of our regular legal clients contacted Jerry (an account manager here at Tomedes) via our 24/7 telephone line. The client had used our translation services before, and appreciated the fact that he could instantly contact one of our friendly members of staff.
Our client was taking care of one of his client’s insurance affairs, and decided that he needed to translate a relevant document into Spanish. After explaining the situation, Jerry was able to select a suitable translator and get a quotation for the work back to the client within a few hours.
Jerry selected Sara to work on the document, who studied law at undergraduate level and was thus very competent at translating legal terminology. This is one of the advantages of selecting a human-based approach to translation, as machine-based approaches often fail to take idioms, technical language and accurate localization into account.
Whilst Sara worked away on the document, Jerry was free to converse with the client, updating him on the translation’s progress when appropriate, and answering any questions he had.
