Romanian language translation for every
dialect, from old to modern
Romanian is spoken by some 24 million native speakers, based mainly in Romania and Moldova but also spread throughout a range of other countries in Europe and beyond. There are also around 4 million people who speak it as a second language. Romanian speakers account for around 0.5% of the world’s overall population.
A Romance language, Romanian is descended from Vulgar Latin and actually incorporates four modern languages or dialects: Daco-Romanian, Aromanian, Megleno-Romanian, and Istro-Romanian. As the languages are not easily mutually intelligible, Tomedes has a wide range of expert translators on hand to ensure that we can translate almost all language pairings.
Romanian to English translation is a commonly requested translation service and, despite the four dialects, there is just one standard written Romanian language.
